The 1963 Silver Anniversary edition of the Seinheimer's Little Blue Book (sponsored by Varsity-Town and Madisonaire Clothes) is truly a pocket-sized wonder. The 172-page booklet feature all of the standard pocket directory material you'd expect: calendar, important dates, personal contacts, phone directory, etc.
But there's much more.
It also contains a personal style inventory and men's fashion guide. It has professional sports standings, team schedules, and, lists of sports record holders. It also contains the schedule for every major college football program. And not just Notre Dame and USC. This amazing book provides the complete schedules for dozens of schools, including Memphis State, Tufts, and Trinity College.
But that's not all. Far from it.
It has lists of fraternal organizations, professional organizations, and societies. And the Greek alphabet. Even the advertisements are informative: a men's fashion trends ad includes a very useful illustration.
I've just scratched the surface.
This nifty little book from Seinheimer held all the information the well-rounded man of 1963 needed to know. Luckily, the previous owner chose not to fill out any of the pages of personal data, so the form blanks in my copy are unmarked.
