Evans' Vacuum Cap Hair Growing Machine

Evansvacuumad3   This 1903 ad for Evans' Vacuum Cap machine has got to be one of my all-time favorite vintage ads.

Check out the somber looking gentleman (probably Mr. Evans) wearing The Cap. Now look closely at his left hand--he's smoking a cigar while casually zapping his noggin! Hilarius. It's almost as funny as the ad copy. Here's a taste: "This appliance will...force a healthful circulation. It will stop hair from falling out and restore a normal growth where live follicles exists...use about ten minutes each night before retiring..."

They sure knew how to have a good time in 1903.
