Detroit Tigers Vernacular Baseball Photography Collector

Baseballteam I'll bet Ron Radue, the owner of this vintage vernacular photograph of a Detroit-area baseball team, hopes this will be the Detroit Tiger's year. The opening week of baseball season provides every true fan with the sense that anything is possible.

After all, this is next year.

After my White Soxhad their glory year in 2005 and fell short in defending their title, I hoped that Tiger fans would finally be relieved of their suffering when the Tiger's reached the World Series at the end of last season. A good friend of mine here in Charlotte is from Detroit, and I felt his pain when the Tiger's lost. (Is anyone actually from Charlotte?)

Of course, now that we're at the start of a new season, it is a whole new ballgame, so to speak, and I'm once again rooting for the White Sox to bring the title back to the Southside of Chicago.
