Morbid Anatomy Blogger Seeks Medical Ephemera
Joanna Ebenstein, the blogger behind Morbid Anatomy, which surveys the interstices of art and science, death and culture, is on a quest to find private collections of medical ephemera for her next photography project. The ephemera blog is always eager to assist artists, researchers, historians, and others that rely on ephemera for their work.
As I'd mentioned in an earlier post, medical, especially quackery, is one of my favorite genres of ephemera. Recently, as loyal readers will recall, I had the pleasure of talking with Phillip Stager, a collector of vintage venereal disease ephemera. That was an unforgettable and disturbing interview. So, if you are collector of medical ephemera like our friend Stager, consider answering Ebenstein's plea.
