The "Wall of Ephemera(s)" is an installation art series that Ryan Seslow, a multidisciplinary artist living and working in New York City, has been producing for a number of years now. Working in all mediums, Seslow shows his work both nationally and internationally. He is also a professor of fine arts teaching studio art courses simultaneously between four colleges in the NYC area.
About the Wall, Ryan says, "Working with the issue of 'objects and things' that are not to be retained, I can create my art in the immediacy and urgency I feel as the over stimulated world reaches my perception. Over stimulation is an energy, it causes me to take action! My work is intuitive, and it is also modular. The walls of ephemera got their name due to the fact that I never set it up the same way twice. After the installation and documentation process, the works are dismantled, discarded, or transcended into other contexts. My work raises the question: Is all Art supposed to live on forever, to be preserved and retained?"
Here is a link to a recent video he created--it is a retrospective of Ephemera Installations 2003-2009.
