In the 70s, when Wrigley Field was a rat-infested, urine-soaked tomb, I attended a few Cubs' games that I might describe as a circus, but neither thrills or a rodeo were to be had. This item, however, seems to provide both. It's a program for the 4th Annual Wrigley Field rodeo and thrill circus, 1944.
The program, according to the Abebook's seller, features cowboy/actor Hoot Gibson, the rodeo's Grand Marshall and Parade Director, who is pictured on the back cover. Inside pages include a list of events. This rodeo was sanctioned by the Rodeo Association of America. A scarce piece of Americana for collectors of Western, cowboy, rodeo, circus, or Chicago ephemera.
