An eBay seller is offering a very delightful and rare original print of the Ice Palace, Montreal Carnival, 1889.
The print is a lithograph measuring 27 1/4" x 22". In one of the seller's photographs, you can actually see the sparkle flakes applied to the surface to simulate snow.
According to the seller, a similar print was illustrated in the book, Ice Palaces, p. 40, published by Abbeville Press, New York, 1983. As mentioned in the book, this palace began to be built the same year the Eiffel Tower was completed.
