A 64-page paperback featuring Asheville's Montford neighborhood is up for bid on eBay.The booklet was produced by the Preservation Society of Asheville and Buncombe County
in 1985.
The seller says, "This rare volume showcases the sprawling, homogeneous neighborhood of about three hundred acres, which retains over six hundred structures. Montford represents a rich diversity of architectural styles and values, most constructed between 1890 and 1920 during Asheville's emergence as the greatest city of the southern Appalachians. Profusely illustrated. Very hard to find volume."
