Up for bid on eBay is this spooky Woodlands Cemetery Lot Holder's Ticket. (Philadelphia, PA. c1860s).
The seller says, "It is intended for those wishing to visit the cemetery, presumably to assess plots for purchase. Visitors were requested to enter only Lots in which they were interested, and not to pluck flowers, or break branches of trees. Horses must walk through the occupied portions of the ground. Dogs are not allowed within the enclosures. Additional rules on reverse."
The cemetery was on the Andrew Hamilton Estate. It is a national historic landmark district.
