In honor of Davy Jones' passing, I'm featuring this index card autographed by the late Monkees' front man who died today at the age of 66. This card has just been placed up for auction on eBay.
The seller says, "He signed this index card for us recently at his hotel when he was in town in 2011."

Up for bid on eBay is a vintage photo album packed with 1920s Toronto-area Boy Scouting images, plus the antique Scouting hat that belonged to the boy in the photos.
The seller says, "The albums belonged to Syd Hasted and follow him through his adolescent years as he was heavily involved with the scouting movement in Toronto. He was part of the 68th Toronto Scouts which were formed in 1924. Syd did a great job documenting and detailing the photos in the albums with places and dates throughout. This album contains 158 photos with a few hand coloured gems in there. The album contains over 150 amazing photos from 1929 to 1931 of Syd and his scouting pals as they camp in Markham and Temagami and visit lots of other areas in and around the Toronto Ontario area. Also in the album are shots of Bracebridge, North Bay, Lake Wilson, Doe Lake, The Weary River and some great shots taken from the top of a Forest Rangers Tower."

Up for bid on eBay is this Japanese company printer's sample book of matchbox labels, many woodblock printed, c1900-1910.
The seller says, "This was originally the property of a company representative, Mr. Takeuchi, whose business card was found inside the volume. Volume measures 8 X 12 inches (closed) and has 29 pages with samples of 255 matchbox labels, including some rare designs: Billiards, Balloonist, Singer Sewing Machine advertisement, Battleships, Bicycles, Sumo, Early Automobile, etc. Many of these matchbox labels appear to have been made for the Taiwan market. A particularly rare woodblock matchbox label is seen in scan #9 which depicts a silhouette of a smoker with "HOGIOWCHAU" (Chinese) & 'Made in Japan' below."

Up for bid on eBay is a wonderful handwritten diary of Corporal Richard W.P. Rose, a U.S. Marine who served during World War I.
The seller explains, "The archive goes from 1916 to 1918 when he was wounded in action and then died from his wounds later on. The first item is his personal diary from the year before the war up until he enlisted in the Marines and went and started off at Parris Island, South Carolina. He was a student at Columbia and then went to Detroit and worked in the car industry out there for several months. The second item is a 20 page letter from a young girl who was very important in his life, not sure if this was a girlfriend or sister, but it is quite long and detailed. It is written in response to hearing about his being wounded in action and all the excitement that it caused in their home town. Unfortunately it has written on the outside that Cpl Rose died in the hospital June 24, 1918, it was written by Capt James Tucker and is stamped Deceased and Verified."

The seller says, "They look perfect...made by Robert W. Brown & Co. in Downey, CA... These were hanging on the wall of my Grandfather's garage forever, and I believe never made it onto a car. If they did, it was only a short time before they were removed."

Up for bid on ebay is this signed one-of-a-kind, never-before-seen candid photograph of the actor Vincent Price, which, according to the listing, was taken by a fan named Jane Nelson in New York City.
The seller adds, "She was a fan who would take photos of movie stars at places around Detroit (where she grew up), New York City and in Los Angeles such as in Beverly Hills, the studios, the train station, outside restaurants and then get the celebrity to sign her autograph book. This is part of a large collection that shows a bygone era of pre-Hollywood celebrity botox and paparazzi. These images also convey an elegant simplicity that was groomed by the golden era movie studio system and all images are unique."

According to the seller, this pageant was held at the Warnel Theatre - Sept 4th to Sept 9th in Atlantic City, NJ. "Also," says the seller, "included is an original authentic ticket for the Miss America Pageant parade - Tuesday Sept 5th at 1500 hours in the Bleacher Seats."
