Up for bid on eBay is this original letter from the estate of Mike Montogomery.
The seller says, "...an original letter dated November 14, 1923, from (and signed by) Ralph S Peer, and the Okeh Phonograph Company, to the Clarence Williams Music Publishing Co., regarding Joe Oliver's desire to transfer ownership rights to Clarence Williams for "Dipper Mouth Blues," "Canal Street Blues" and Snake Rag" - and adding that Louis Armstrong desires the same for his composition "Where Did You Stay, last Night?" He further adds that the requested transfer should not effect [sic] financial arrangements with Gennett or Okeh regarding royalties for earlier recordings of these compositions. Pencil note at bottom suggests the note was courtesy-copied to Oliver and Alphonse Picou (co-writer on Dippermouth Blues and Snake Rag).
