This hard-to-find 1966 Asheville/Weaverville Speedway race program is up for bid on eBay. (Where else, right?)
According to the listing, the Western North Carolina 500 was held on August 21, 1966. "This was a great speedway," says the seller. "Located in the mountains of Western North Carolina, it was the fastest half mile speedway until Bristol upped its banking to take over as the fastest."
Includes some great local Asheville-area ads and super car advertising.
