Here's a nice autographed photo of former Chicago Bull's player, B.J. Armstrong. B.J. is the forgotten Bull. Everyone remembers Michael and Scottie, but some of my favorite players from those great Bulls championship teams were role players like Armstrong.
B.J. was in integral part of the Bull's 1990s dynasty. He averaged double-digit scoring coming off the bench behind Chicago favorite, John Paxton. B.J. was a starter in 1993. And he kept right on helping them.
Those were heady days in Chicago.
I remember watching the playoffs on an old television that one of my neighbors set up on his back porch so we could enjoy the cool Spring air while our Bulls laid waste to the competition. When they'd secure each championship, I would triumphantly blow an old conch shell. While I blew my conch to celebrate the Bulls' victory, some of my more rambunctious neighbors fired pistols and AK-47 into the air. (Hey, we're talking about Chicago after all.)
