"Give Your Career Wings!" shouts this 1940s-era Pan Am Airlines stewardess pamphlet, which is up for bid on eBay.
I read what I could of the brochure, and I think, given the status of the U.S. in the early 40's, that this would be late 40's or early 50's. I say that because of the hours specified for meeting the representative included "...Fridays (except Good Friday)...". I don't think business has stopped on Good Friday in this country since I was a kid.

I was actually struck by the photograph of all the women checking their watches. I don't think an airline flight attendant has cared whether or not a plane was on time since the 1950s.
